Definitions

• "Platform": the Palier website and application accessible at palier.app
• "Publisher": Palier, the company that publishes the platform
• "User": any natural or legal person creating an account on the platform
• "Landlord": a user managing properties and tenants through the platform
• "Tenant": a person with access to the tenant portal of the platform

Purpose of the platform

Palier is a property management platform designed for coliving landlords. It enables management of properties, units, leases, automated messaging, document archiving, and financial tracking. The platform does not replace the landlord's legal obligations.

Registration and account

Access to the platform requires creating an account with a valid email address. Authentication is performed via a magic link sent by email. The user is responsible for the security of their account and the accuracy of the information provided.

Use of the platform

The user agrees to:

• Use the platform in accordance with its intended purpose and these Terms
• Not use the platform for illegal or fraudulent purposes
• Not attempt to compromise the security or operation of the platform
• Provide accurate and up-to-date information
• Respect the rights of third parties, particularly those of tenants

Content and data

The user retains ownership of all data and content they upload to the platform (photos, documents, property and tenant information). The publisher acquires no ownership rights over this content. The user warrants that they have the necessary rights to upload this content and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

Service availability

The publisher strives to ensure platform availability 24/7. However, access may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, updates, or in case of force majeure. The publisher does not guarantee a specific uptime rate.

Pricing

Access to the platform is currently offered free of charge during early access. The publisher reserves the right to introduce paid plans in the future. Existing users will be notified of any pricing changes with reasonable notice.

Liability

The platform is provided "as is". The publisher shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the platform, including: financial calculation errors, data loss due to technical failure, or decisions made by the user based on displayed information. The user remains solely responsible for their obligations as a landlord.

Intellectual property

All elements of the platform (design, source code, text, logos, trademarks) are protected by intellectual property law and remain the exclusive property of the publisher. Any unauthorized reproduction, representation, or exploitation is prohibited.

Termination

The user may delete their account at any time from the platform settings. The publisher reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in case of violation of these Terms, after prior notice except in case of emergency.

Changes to the Terms

The publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms. Users will be notified of changes by email or notification on the platform. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
